A Modern Wedding with a Vintage Twist - Ben and Jade at the Historic Gladstone Hotel In Toronto

I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wedding of my dear friends, Ben and Jade, at the historic Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Their wedding perfectly blended modern vibes with vintage touches, especially with Ben’s stylish outfit and Jade's beautiful dress.

The intimate space was filled with so many fun and unique elements. Guests enjoyed playing on arcade machines, including Frogger, which holds special meaning as it was the game Ben and Jade played on their first date. There were disposable cameras for everyone to capture candid moments, and a nighttime candy and snack table that kept everyone’s sweet tooth satisfied. One of the groomsmen even surprised the bride with a custom art piece at the end of the night, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the celebration.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Ben and Jade for many years. I’ve captured their engagement sessions and was there when they brought home their pup, Henry, who made a brief but adorable appearance at the wedding. The Gladstone Hotel provided a wonderful atmosphere with its beautiful table layouts and a stunning floral piece that served as the centerpiece for their ceremony.

As a friend and photographer, I couldn’t have been more proud and happy for Ben and Jade. Ben is not only a great friend but also a professional colleague. We’ve worked together on various commercial and event settings through the agency he works for, which has hired me for numerous jobs. Seeing them both so happy and in love was truly a joy, and I’m honored to have been part of their special day.
